Lutheran Family & Children's Services "Family Walk" with Competitive 5K run On Saturday, April 22, 2006 Lutheran Family and Children's Services held their Family Walk/Run in Forest Park at The Muny parking area. The event began at 7:30 a.m. with activities that went until 11:00 a.m. The 5K competitive run began at 8:30 a.m. and the3-mile family walk began at 9:00 a.m. Both the walk and run started and finished on the upper Muny parking lot. All participants of the 5K and 3-mile received a t-shirt, goody bag and post race refreshments provided by Dierbergs Markets. To support the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual development of children, Lutheran Family and Children's Services provides a full range of programs to the community. These include infant adoption, international, independent and special needs adoption services, foster care, expectant parent counseling and birth parent services, which offer a comprehensive program of services for women who have used LFCS' parent counseling services. "These are times of challenge and opportunity as we seek to serve those in the greatest need. I thank God for the thousands of Missourians who support the work of Lutheran Family and Children's Services of Missouri.
