Lutheran Family and Children's Services "Hope Fore Families Golf Tournament" in St. Louis On Monday, May 8, 2006 Lutheran Family and Children's Services held the Hope Fore Families Golf Tournament at Sunset Hills Country Club. The day began with golfers practicing at the driving range and then returning for lunch. At noon it was tee off time! It was an 18 hole and 4 person scramble; with some mixed. The men hit from men's tees and ladie hit from ladies' tees. The best ball is the one played. This process continues for all remaining shots until the ball is holed, 2 putt maximum. Each golfer was able to purchase two Mulligans for $25.00 at the tournament registration desk. There were great prizes awarded for many outstanding shots. That evening there was a wonderful dinner, awards and auction party. Guests were bidding on St. Louis Rams items, opportunities to play at other St. Louis private courses, and too many more to mention. Farmer Dave of KTRS Radio was the auctioneer. To support the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual development of children, Lutheran Family and Children's Services provides a full range of programs to the community. These include infant adoption, international, independent and special needs adoption services, foster care, expectant parent counseling and birth parent services, which offer a comprehensive program of services for women who have used LFCS' parent counseling services. "These are times of challenge and opportunity as we seek to serve those in the greatest need. I thank God for the thousands of Missourians who support the work of Lutheran Family and Children's Services of Missouri. I thank you for moving this ministry forward as we share hope and wholeness of life in Jesus name. May God bless and Keep you in faith, hope and love." --Rev. Alan M. Erdman, President/CEO.
