RCGA's Leadership Breakfast

On Wednesday, September 20, 2006 The Regional Commerce and Growth Assocication (RCGA) held their Leadership Breakfast at The RCGA.

Guests enjoyed a fabulous breakfast while they networked with other members.  Then the program commenced about business needs in the metropolitan area.  There were several question and answer periods.

The RCGA—Regional Commerce & Growth Association is is the chamber of commerce and economic development organization for the Greater St. Louis region which includes St. Louis City; the Missouri counties of St. Louis, St. Charles, Lincoln, Warren, Franklin, Jefferson and Washington; and the Illinois counties of St. Clair, Jersey, Madison, Clinton, Monroe, Bond, Macoupin and Calhoun. RCGA's 4,000 member companies constitute nearly 40% of the regional workforce.

Formed in 1973, RCGA is the result of the merger of three separate organizations: the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan St. Louis, the St. Louis Regional Industrial Development Corporation, and the St. Louis Research Council.

The mission of the St. Louis RCGA is to unite the region's business community, and to engage dynamic business and civic leadership to develop and sustain a world-class economy and community.

The St. Louis region's economy is growing with over 107,000 net new jobs created since January 1995. RCGA aggressively markets the St. Louis region nationally and internationally to attract targeted industries to the area. It further spurs economic development by aiding the expansion of companies located within the region.

As the St. Louis regional chamber of commerce, RCGA fosters business development and enhances the regional quality of life through:

Programs and events including a chief executive advisory board program; and special speaker events.
